3.3 Location Information

With your consent, we may collect precise GPS location data and approximate location information to improve report accuracy, provide location-based services, verify incidents, and improve platform functionality.

3.4 Emergency Contacts

With your explicit consent, you may select up to five people from your device's contact list as emergency contacts, or to share a journey with. When you do, the name and phone number of each contact you select are uploaded to our servers. We do not upload, copy, or scan the rest of your contact list.

We use the uploaded contact details solely to:

Notify your selected contacts by SMS and push notification when you trigger an SOS alert
Notify your selected contacts when you share a journey with them
Inform a person, by SMS, that you have added them as an emergency contact on Snitch IT

Emergency contact details are never sold, used for marketing, or shared with third parties other than the SMS delivery provider needed to send these notifications. You can remove any emergency contact at any time from the app, which deletes their details from our servers, and all emergency contact data is permanently deleted when you delete your account.

4. Anonymous Reports

Snitch IT may allow users to submit reports anonymously.

Anonymous reports may conceal your identity from the public and other users. However, we may still collect technical information such as IP addresses, device identifiers, timestamps, and security logs for abuse prevention, fraud detection, and legal compliance.

By submitting content to Snitch IT, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, process, display, and distribute such content solely for operating, improving, securing, and promoting the platform.
